One day when my daughter was in kindergarten, my ex was giving her a little lesson in change. He was trying to teach her the names of various coins. He was patiently holding out a coin saying it's name and having her repeat. After a while he then began laying out the coin and just asking her what it was. At one point he opened his hand in his palm lay a nickle and a dime. He asked S what are these. She looked at the coins for a few moments then in all seriousness looked at him and replied, "milk money". It took a second for it to register in his brain that her lunch milk was fifteen cents. He just smiled, told her she was right and handed her the coins.
